Data Link: http://www.worldclim.org/ Data Use Policy: “This dataset is freely available for academic and other non-commercial use. Redistribution, or commercial use is not allowed without prior permission.” Use with R: WorldClim climate data can be downloaded directly by using several R packages. Here I will use the “raster” package, as shown below for annual precipitation, which I will subset for South Africa.
