Species Distribution Model: hSDMModel Category: Hierarchical Bayesian Model Description: This model estimates parameters of species distribution using hierarchical bayesian modeling. This model interprets observations using habitat suitability and other ecological processes. Model Assumptions: The presence of a species at a site depends on the probability of presence of the species on neighboring sites. Model Response Data: Presence/absence, Presence-Only, Pseudo-Absence Model Explanatory Data: Rasters Model Links and Use with R: https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/hSDM/hSDM.pdf Example Papers: hSDM is a new package and there have not been many papers that have utilized it yet. Here’s a couple citations that create SDMs using it. Vieilledent G, Merow C, Guelat J, Latimer A, Kery M, Gelfand A, Wilson A, Mortier F, Silander Jr J. Package UnmarkedSean SultaireNovember 13, 2015This snippet introduces the use of the R package unmarked for analysis of unmarked animal populations, particularly occupancy modeling and distance sampling analysis. The script analyzes an internal data set of crossbill detection-nondetection data from pointcounts in Switzerland. This analysis is similar to one documented in the package Vignette available here http://cran.case.edu/web/packages/unmarked/vignettes/spp-dist.pdf
